My name is Seul (/sul/) and it rhymes with cool according to my former boss. Seul is cool, got it?

I got into fiber arts when I was struggling with depression. I needed something to keep me preoccupied and sewing became my wonderful distraction from the reality.

Coming from an architectural background, I’ve always dealt with rigid materials such as wood, metal, and paper. Fabric is sloppy, yarn is stretchy, sewing machine is too noisy, needles are poking everywhere… I didn’t quite like it at first. As I got used to it though, I saw unlimited potential that I could do with fiber.

I strive for growth. I know I will keep struggling with fabric, yarns and threads (and life), but the whole journey would spark joy.
